Ella is a small, relaxed town in the hills that has become one of the favourite stops in Sri Lanka. Tea slopes, misty valleys and open views fill the area, and many of the best experiences are easy walks. It is also the end of the famous scenic train ride from Kandy.

Travel tips
Weather can change quickly, so keep a light rain jacket handy. Start hikes early for clearer views. If you would like to ride the scenic train, book seats in advance as they sell out fast, and we can arrange pick-up at the other end.
