02 Nights 3 Day Tour: Sigiriya, Kandy & Pinnawala ( Up to 03 Paxs )

This itinerary combines Sri Lanka’s ancient cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes, Kandy city and a visit to the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It starts in Colombo or Negombo and finishes with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.

Day 1 — Colombo / Negombo to Sigiriya

Overnight: Sigiriya

• Pick-up from your hotel in Colombo or Negombo.
• Travel to Sigiriya through Sri Lanka’s scenic countryside.
• Optional traditional village tour with local food and a bullock-cart ride.
• Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the ancient royal citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Optional visit to Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park for an elephant safari, depending on the season and your available time.
• Optional climb to Pidurangala Rock for panoramic views of Sigiriya Rock.

Day 2 — Sigiriya, Dambulla and Kandy

Overnight: Kandy

• Breakfast at your hotel in Sigiriya.
• Visit Dambulla Cave Temple, famous for its Buddhist murals and cave shrines.
• Continue to Kandy.
• Visit the Spices Garden & Ayurvedic Herbal medicine center.
• Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.
• Enjoy a walk around Kandy Lake and Cultural Dances in the city centre.

Day 3 — Kandy, Pinnawala and Negombo / Colombo Airport

Departure day

• Breakfast at your hotel in Kandy.
• Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens.
• Depart for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe elephants and, when scheduled, their river bathing activities.
• Continue towards Negombo or Colombo.
• Drop-off at your hotel or Bandaranaike International Airport, according to your travel arrangements.

If you have an afternoon flight, please allow sufficient time for the Pinnawala visit and airport transfer. The elephant activities and access arrangements may vary.
